Edward Gregson’s ‘Tributes’ for clarinet and piano received their first broadcast performance on BBC Radio 3 on Wednesday 15th December in a Lunchtime Concert from 1-2pm. The broadcast was taken from a recital given by Michael Collins and Michael McHale in Glasgow last October. The work will be published in the New Year by Novello.…Read More
The Great Northern Brass Arts Festival, to be held at the Bridgewater Hall Manchester on Saturday 11th September, will feature the brass band music of Edward Gregson to celebrate the composer’s 65th birthday. The works to be performed will be Prelude for an Occasion, Dances and Arias, Concerto Grosso, Concerto for Tuba, March Prelude and Variations on Laudate Dominum, representing some of the composer’s brass band compositional output from 1968-1984.

This exciting new CD includes the very best of Edward Gregson’s many works for brass band, and spans his entire compositional life so far. Entitled The Gregson Collection, this double CD is a compilation of Gregson’s brass band music from 1964 to 2008, with actual works and performances chosen by the composer.
