Tokyo Kosei Wind Orchestra perform Gregson

The famous Tokyo Kosei Wind Orchestra (TKWO), under the baton of Maestro Douglas Bostock, will be performing Edward Gregson’s evergreen symphonic suite ‘The Sword and the Crown’ this coming Sunday at Tokyo’s Metropolitan Hall. The TKWO have performed a number of Gregson’s wind repertoire in the past, as has Douglas Bostock, who in 2001 recorded his Concerto for Orchestra with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra. The concert will be recorded for release on the Dennon-Columbia label for future release.…

New Gregson orchestral work premiered in London

A new work, commissioned by the English Schools’ Orchestra and funded by PRS for Music, was premiered at a concert in London in November.

Remember, for baritone solo, children’s choir and orchestra, will be performed by the English Schools’ Orchestra, with Timothy Nelson (baritone) and the Southend Children’s Choir (Director Roger Humphrey, conducted by Robert Pepper.
