Thursday 13 January – The following orchestral works by Edward Gregson will be broadcast on BBC Radio 3: Music for Chamber Orchestra and Two Pictures for String Orchestra. The performances are from the BBC Concert Orchestra conducted by Bramwell Tovey and are taken from the newly released Chandos CD (volume 3) of Gregson’s orchestral music and concertos. They will be broadcast on Afternoon Performance commencing at 2pm.…

Chandos Records have released the latest CD in the Gregson Concerto Series. The CD includes the Trombone Concerto and the Cello Concerto – A Song for Chris – as well as his early ‘Music
for Chamber Orchestra’ and ‘Two Pictures’ for string orchestra.

Edward Gregson’s ‘Tributes’ for clarinet and piano received their first broadcast performance on BBC Radio 3 on Wednesday 15th December in a Lunchtime Concert from 1-2pm. The broadcast was taken from a recital given by Michael Collins and Michael McHale in Glasgow last October. The work will be published in the New Year by Novello.…
