A concert to celebrate Edward Gregson’s 60th Birthday is to be held at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester on Friday, 17 June 2005 at 7.30 pm in the Haden Freeman Concert Hall.
Edward has devised a chamber programme placing a selection of his own pieces alongside music by his teacher Alan Bush and his long-term friend, composer Paul Patterson, as well as music by the composer who has been a major influence on his own music, Sir Michael Tippett.
The works of Edward Gregson to be performed at this concert are:
- Five Songs of Innocence and Experience
- Serenata Notturna for cello and piano
- Piano Sonata in one movement
- Equale Dances for brass quintet
