Programme Note

This work was written in memory of Edwige de Kock, the wife of my friend David Honeyball, who was tragically killed in a road accident whilst they were on honeymoon in France.  The first performance took place in the Cathedral of Edwige’s home town in Belgium, and was sung by the choir of which she was a member.  Prominent in the rest of the concert were performances by the Royal Academy of Music Student Orchestra, conducted by Colin Davies.
