Two new compact discs have been released containg works by Edward Gregson. Budget CD giant, Naxos have released a disc of British Tuba Concertos which contains a new recording of the Orchestral version of Gregson’s Tuba Concerto performed by James Gourlay and the Royal Ballet Sinfonia and conducted by Gavin Sutherland.

Brass Band specialist Doyen Recordings have released a new CD under the title History of Brass Band Music – the Modern Era 1970-2000. This disc was recorded at Dewsbury Town Hall in April 2005 and was released in January this year. This contains a new recording of Gregson’s Connotations performed by Grimethorpe Colliery Band and conducted by Elgar Howarth.
