Gregson’s ‘Symphony in two movements’ to be performed at the BBC Proms
Edward Gregson’s Symphony in two movements for brass band is to be performed at the 2026 BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall (RAH) on Sunday 19 July at 11 am in a concert to be given by Black Dyke Band, conducted by Nicholas Childs.
Symphony in two movements was chosen as the set work for last year’s National Brass Band Championship of Great Britain, also held at the RAH, last October. Black Dyke Band was the runner up in that competition.…
‘A Vision in a Dream’ makes it to top 10 of the Official Specialist Classical Chart
Following a very busy year of concerts and events to mark the composer’s 80th birthday year, Edward Gregson’s new album ‘A Vision in a Dream’ has made it into the classical music chart, coming in at number 9 (21-27 November 2025).
