Listen: Flourish for the Theatre

This short fanfare, scored for two trumpets, two horns and trombone, was written in 1991 for the wedding of Adrian Noble (who was then artistic director of the Royal Shakespeare Company) and Joanne Pearce. The composer collaborated with Adrian Noble in the productions of Shakespeare’s History Plays between 1988 and 1991, and for which he wrote the music.
